step 3

After deep tissues are tightened, the excess skin is pulled up and back, trimmed and sutured into position.  Most of the scars will be hidden within your hair and in the normal creases of your skin.

Who is the most suitable face lift patient?

The best facelift patient has jowls, loose neck skin and a general saggy appearance to the skin on the face and neck. If the patient also has lots of wrinkles, non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment can be combined with a facelift for an improved overall result.

Could I have eye rejuvenation at the same time as a facelift?

Yes, if that’s what you need, the best facelift results are achieved when these two procedures are combined resulting in an overall improvement. Your surgeon will advise on the best course of treatment for your individual requirements.  As well as the face lift, we offer eyelid surgery, eye bag removal or brow lift.

Will there be scarring after facial rejuvenation?

In the case of eye rejuvenation an incision is made close to the natural crease of the eyelid. During a facelift incisions are made in the natural crease lines. In both procedures post operative scarring will fade over time and become virtually undetectable.

Will the wrinkles return?

During your medical consultation your surgeon will point out that the skin will continue to age. It is important that you understand that the ageing process will not stop after a facelift. However, Non-sugical treatments may be used in addition to enhance and/or prolong the benefits of a face lift. These are offered in all 4 clinics around the country.

The facelift, also known as “rhytidoplasty” is a procedure which rejuvenates the face to turn back the signs of ageing.

The procedure is ideal for

  • People with a general “saggy” appearance to the face and neck
  • Wrinkles, deep lines, loose skin and/or jowls around the cheek/neck area
  • Both women and men

Everyone’s physiology and requirements are different, so a face lift is bespoke to the individual.

At your consultation you will be able to discuss the procedure in detail and ask any questions you may have. Many of our patient care co-ordinators have in fact had a procedure themselves so can share their experience with you first hand.
