The Surgeon will make tiny incisions in the buttocks before inserting the “threads” beneath the skin. The threads are anchored in deep tissue to produce a tension which lifts the sagging tissue.
“Silhouette” threadlift sutures are the most innovative to date. They are approved by the US FDA and have received the CE mark. These approvals are unique in the market.
The threads are made from a biocompatible material which has been used for many years in cardiovascular and ophthalmic surgery. They are designed to produce a much stronger suspension mechanism than traditional threadlift methods and avoid problems of movement and pain which occurred with barbed sutures. The results are outstanding.
Thanks to celebrities such as Beyonce and J-Lo, a pert, well-shaped bottom is highly desirable. However, for many women, toning up the buttocks is one of the hardest areas to tackle with exercise.
Surgery to shape the buttocks is therefore an increasingly popular option. Threadlifting is ideal, as it gently yet effectively lifts and tightens the buttock area.
This procedure is ideal for:
- People with a “saggy” appearance to the buttocks, whether that is due to ageing, past pregnancy, weight gain or weight loss
- Restoring the definition to the shape of the bottom
- Women and men from the age of 38/40 onwards
As well as smoothing and tightening the skin, the tiny threads actually support the flesh to enable the skilled surgeon to create a rounded yet firm contour
The results are stunning. Your bottom will simply look younger, firmer and perter – a shape you will be proud to show off in jeans, slinky dresses or bikinis.
At The Hospital Group Ireland, we use Silhouette Thread Lift techniques and threads. This offers our patients the opportunity to get a fresher, brighter looking face with a number of advantages over a traditional face lift:
- Local anaesthetic, not general
- Day case procedure in our clinic with no overnight hospitalisation. The procedure requires 2 sessions using only local anaesthetic.
- Shorter recovery time.
The threadlift technique is performed in our Dublin day care centre. After a short recovery, the patient can return to rest and relax at home.
Due to the speed of the operation, it has even been called the “lunchtime lift”, though we would advise against returning straight to work! We normally suggest refraining from your usual activities for around 5 days while the initial swelling and bruising dissipate.
If you would like to learn more regarding this cosmetic surgery procedure then why not book a free, no obligation consultation with a GMC registered cosmetic surgeon and dedicated patient care co-ordinator.
At your consultation you will be able to discuss the procedure in detail and ask any questions you may have. Many of our patient care co-ordinators have in fact had a procedure themselves so can share their experience with you first hand.
